4th Birthday
WHO: Private client
WHAT: Child’s 4th Birthday party
BRIEF: Our client requested help in planning and designing a birthday party for her daughter who was turning four over Easter weekend. Wanting to incorporate an Easter theme featuring plenty of pastel colours, she requested a party with old fashioned children’s games, room décor, entertainment, gift bags, catering and music. It was important that the 25 children were kept busy over the three hour period. We were also required to source a cake with a difference; something that incorporated her daughter’s love for the How to Train Your Dragon books.
RESULT: We focused the party around a series of light-hearted and active games. Using a light, spacious venue which opened up onto Brighton beach, we organised old fashioned party games including pass the parcel, egg and spoon races and an egg hunt on the pebbles. Providing interactive entertainment, a musician played songs for the children, encouraging them to play along with percussion instruments.
Weaving the Easter theme throughout, we decorated the room with colourful balloons, decals, flowers, bunnies and carrots, adding finishing touches such as a printed tablecloth, party hats, table confetti and gifts bags. There were individual popcorn servings, egg baskets, treasure hunt sacks and medals to hand out when the children completed the games.
Combining elements of the seaside with pretty pastel shades, we sourced a stunning cake tower of individually decorated cupcakes, all shaped like ice cream cones. Topping the tower, a giant cupcake sat surrounded by the birthday girl’s favourite characters from How to Train Your Dragon.
