WHAT: Topping Out Ceremony

BRIEF: Allowing for a wet weather contingency plan, we were instructed to arrange the installation of technical equipment and set backdrops on the roof of the Riverwalk building, which was to host a Topping Out ceremony. This unique and challenging venue on the banks of the River Thames was a fully operational building site, which meant we had a number of production restrictions and safety considerations to overcome. In addition to technical production, guests were to be served with refreshments throughout the ceremony. 

RESULT: We began with the installation of two branded set backdrops and full AV equipment on both the 12^th floor and on the roof of the 17^th floor. Live filming link up and video relay were then installed so that whilst the ceremony took place on the roof, the event was played on screens on the 12^th floor of the site. Due to blustery weather conditions on the day, the Piper and all guests apart from the VIP party remained on the 12^th floor whilst the ceremony took place, as a precautionary health and safety measure.
