Charlotte & Robin
BRIEF : When we first started working with Charlotte and Robin, they had already booked their Catholic church ceremony and planned to hold the reception in the hall at the prestigious Brighton College. Part of our role as planners is to draw upon our events background and set design expertise to transform blank spaces into spectacular, romantic settings for weddings, and in this case a little help was required in implementing the finishing touches. As a graphic designer, Charlotte was very creative by nature, but she hit obstacles when turning her ideas from 2D concept into 3D reality so we stepped in to guide her through the process.
RESULT : Two key aspects that we addressed were sound and visuals. The use of a professional sound system ensured crisp sound quality, and through introducing atmospheric lighting and theatrical swathes of cloth we not only added warmth and a sense of drama to the hall, but brought a little of Charlotte and Robin’s personality and class to the room too. The couple encouraged us to offer suggestions whenever we felt structural or logistical improvements could be made, so by liaising with the venue we arranged for the layout of the room to be altered, enabling better use of the space. All scheduling matters were handed over to us, taking the pressure off the bride and groom and allowing them to relax in the knowledge that everything would run smoothly.
After their wedding, Charlotte and Robin recommended us to their good friends Annie and Simon, who were due to marry the following year.
